I have been fortunate to have experienced many countries and cultures around the world, but my early life on our small farm in southern Indiana, was responsible for my intense appreciation for being in touch with everything nature so generously offers. This passion carries over in my love of cooking, sewing, interior design work, make-up artistry and fashion, and in anything that elevates the beauty in life. My journey has been long and wonderful and at every turn, my love of nature is the catalyst for my desire to explore painting.
Settling in the midwest has afforded the opportunity to reconnect with my roots and begin a new focus for sharing my passion for painting. My involvement with The Saint Charles Arts Council, The Yellow House Artists, The Saint Charles Artists Coffee, The Pottawatomie Garden Club, The Saint Charles History Museum, and 100 Women Who Care, are all organizations with great resources for networking my art.
The organic topography of the midwest with its contrasting terrains, flat and undulating, offers a diverse geographic palette from which to choose your artistic concepts, designs, and/or subjects. The midwest offers ever changing seasons, just as nature is constantly changing, there is always something new and wonderful to appreciate. At this moment in time, I cherish the excitement I'm feeling for life as it relates to a new beginning in my world of painting.
